A robust fuzzy logic PI controller for solar system battery charging

This article discusses a design of photovoltaic (PV) system that allow charging battery under variable climatic circumstances. The study is composed two DC-DC converters boost and Buck converter. first one used to extract the maximum power from PV array through novel step size P&O based MPPT offering high tracking accuracy compared classical approaches such PO INC. second aim at regulating output voltage current feeds using robust optimal PI (O-PI) which has faster time response PID controllers. overall thecontrol strategies are tested validated in MATLAB/Simulink environment. simulations results show effectiveness robustness system.
